The Langhe and Monferrato are located in the south-eastern Piemonte between the provinces of Asti, Alessandria and Cuneo. Ride starts in Villanova d' Asti and in the first 35km is easy with some small and sweet climbs, through small villages on nice panoramic roads.
In the central part you will find spectacular landscapes, riding between vineyards and gentle hills, on roads completely lacking in traffic immersed in a landscape hilly of rare beauty.
This area is famous for the production of fine wines as Barbera and Dolcetto; the road runs along the cultivated land, fatigue is compensated with the extraordinary beauty of the territory.
In this part, the road is constant changes of pace and while there is no climbs, is a little more tiring but very fun.
A short descent to the village of Canelli is the prelude to the latest part of the ride, about 25km, easy and quite entirely plain, till the the town of Asti.
A varied and spectacular ride, long 85km for an overall height difference of about 750m.
